Aminoff London
In an increasingly competitive global marketplace, international jewellery manufacturers continue to expand and diversify, offering a broadening range of products at scale. As a result, the industry’s focus has progressively shifted from mass quantity to uncompromising quality, driving renewed demand for domestically manufactured, authentically “homegrown” goods.
Global jewellery trade shows have grown in both frequency and prominence, encouraging trade buyers to source substantial volumes of finished product from overseas suppliers to meet the needs of their domestic and international markets. While such imports can deliver advantages in cost efficiency, design variety, and even craftsmanship, they can sometimes lack the authenticity and traceability that discerning buyers increasingly prioritise. Consumer demand is now shifting back to artisan craftsmanship, locally sourced materials, and the “hallmark” of a national product.
For Aminoff London, our jewellery has always been synonymous with British design and craftmanship, with our roots in Central London since 1972.
As a long-established supplier of high-grade cultured pearls sourced from regions including China, Japan, Tahiti, and Australia, our raw materials are global. However, through our local manufacturing processes and value-adding activities within the UK, we have secured UK Preferential Origin Exporter Status. This designation provides a strategic advantage when positioning our products as authentically British-made. It also offers tangible benefits to our international customers, as many foreign customs authorities apply reduced duty and tax rates to goods carrying this preferential origin status.
Many of our leading collection pieces offer elements of unique design, expert craftsmanship, and British origin. For example, the below (pictured) necklace incorporates 6 rows of fine graduated Akoya pearls from Japan with 2 18ct white gold diamond set motifs made in the UK, and is composed by hand in our Central London office and workshop.
